Abstract

Burnout is a condition of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged work-related stress. One factor that plays a role in reducing burnout is family support. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and burnout among online drivers in Malang City. This research used a quantitative correlational method with 100 respondents selected using accidental sampling techniques. The instruments used were The Social Provisions Scale (26 valid items, α = 0.926) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (35 valid items, α = 0.922) in the form of a Likert scale. Data analysis using the Pearson correlation test showed a correlation coefficient value of -0.390 (p < 0.001), indicating a significant negative relationship between family support and burnout. However, this relationship is considered weak, suggesting that other factors such as internal factors, customer pressure, and workload also contribute to burnout. This study implies that family support can be an effective way to prevent burnout in online motorcycle taxi drivers and recommends future research to explore internal factors that may also influence burnout.
