Abstract

This reaserch aims to examine the effect of loneliness on nomophobia in college students. This study involved 400 respondents selected from purposive sampling results. The measures used were the loneliness scale (α=0.896) and the nomophobia scale (α=0.944). The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results of the analysis showed that the regression coefficient (β) was 0.805 (p=0.000). From these results, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between loneliness and nomophobia, where loneliness affects nomophobia 64.7%. These findings indicate that the higher a person's level of loneliness, the higher their tendency to experience nomophobia.
