Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between a positive mindset and self-efficacy. The background of this research is the prevalence of procrastination among students related to their final thesis, which has resulted in extended study periods of more than four years. This research method uses correlational quantitative, with a total of 116 respondents. The determination of sampling used the saturated sampling technique, in which all of the population was made into a sample. The measuring instruments used are the positive mindset scale (α=804) and the self-efficacy scale (α=667). The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis with a significance level of p= 0.000<0.05, which means that there is a relationship between a positive mindset and selfefficacy among students who are writing their theses. This research can provide information to students to always instill a positive mindset, especially when working on their final project, namely the thesis. A positive mindset is important to develop with the aim of enhancing students' self-efficacy, especially in the process of thesis preparation.
