Abstract

Humans go through several different stages of development. Individuals will move from one phase of development to another. Sometimes, the transition between these phases can result in a crisis for individuals. Therefore, individuals must have awareness or self-efficacy in themselves to be able to get through the quarter life crisis in the individual. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there is an influence of self-efficacy on the quarter life crisis in early adulthood. This study used a quantitative research design, the data collection method used a Likert scale, namely career decision making self-efficacy (CDSME) and quarter life crisis. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS for Windows statistical software. The population in this research are early adult individuals with an age range of 20-25 years residing in Malang City. The sampling technique was accidental sampling of 97 early adult individuals with an age range of 21-25 years residing in Malang City. The results found that there was a significant negative influence on the Y variable, namely quarter life crisis β -1.074, t -3.149, p <0.05, the self-efficacy variable was able to explain changes in the dependent variable by 9.5%, R2 = 0.095, F = 9.917, p = 0.05. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between self- efficacy and quarter life crisis.
