Abstract

Students with good resilience are able to adapt, overcome and evaluate the problems that befall them. This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between social support and resilience in first year overseas students at Merdeka University, Malang. This research is quantitative. The subjects in this study were first year overseas students at Merdeka University, Malang. In taking the sample in this study using accidental sampling technique involving 71 respondents. How to collect data using resilience scale and social support scale with Likert model. so that the results of hypothesis testing with a correlation index of 0.515 with a significant level of 0.000 are obtained so that the results of this study indicate a positive direction, which means that the higher the social support obtained by overseas students, the higher the resilience of students on the contrary, the lower the social support obtained. in overseas students, the lower the resilience.
