Abstract

This research aims to examine the relationship between personal life balance and work on the intention to leave the job among Generation Z employees. The study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample for this research was obtained using convenience sampling techniques. The measurement tools used are the Turnover Intention Scale 6 (TIS-6) (α = 0.89) and the Work-life Balance (WLB) scale (α= 0.86). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression tests. The results indicate a coefficient value of 0.315 (p=<0.001) < 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between work-life balance and turnover intention among Generation Z. This research emphasizes the importance of implementing an effective work-life balance for Generation Z employees in Indonesia to reduce turnover intention levels. Companies and human resource management need to design flexible policies and programs that support the balance between work and personal life, thereby enhancing employee retention and organizational performance. These findings also serve as a basis for the government and stakeholders in formulating labor policies that promote the well-being of the productive workforce. Furthermore, this study opens up opportunities for further research that takes into account social, cultural, economic, and employment status factors to provide a more comprehensive picture. Awareness of the importance of work-life balance is also key in maintaining mental health and work motivation, as well as reducing the intention to leave a job.
