Abstract
A family is a social group that is legalized in marriage and consists of a father, mother, and children. A family is a place for the development of each member who provides affection, attention, and guidance. An atmosphere of harmonious family is important for the development of adolescents, which means that parents provide affection, attention, and guidance. But sometimes parents are unable to provide for the needs of their children affectionately, emotionally, and financially. If they fail to fulfill them then this is known as a broken home. A broken home is a fractured family and can be seen from one of the family members dies or gets divorced, does not show affection, or is vulnerable to being colored by an atmosphere full of conflict. The divorce that occurs in families can have a profound impact on all family members. The impact received by adolescents is experiencing sadness, aggressive behavior, not being motivated to learn, a crisis of affection, and feeling broken hearted. Adolescents who experience broken homes are still able to live their lives with a better and more positive acceptance process. This is called the ability to be resilient. The purpose of this research is to find out the dynamics of resilience in adolescents who come from broken home families. This research method uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study indicate that the two subjects have different resilience. Subject R lacks resilience in the six aspects of resilience but has resilience in the aspect of empathy, while subject A has resilience in the seven aspects.
