Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between permissive parenting styles and the tendency of online game addiction in late adolescents, through a linear regression method with a quantitative approach and data collection in the form of a Likert scale. Data collection used a sampling technique with total sampling. The distribution of questionnaires via Google Forms was chosen considering the flexibility of place and time for filling. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, a significant value with a score of less than 0.05 of 0.000 can be seen. so it can be concluded that both variables are positive, which means the higher the permissive parenting style, the higher the tendency of online game addiction in late adolescents, and vice versa, the lower the permissive parenting style, the lower the tendency of online game addiction in late adolescents, so the results of this hypothesis can be accepted. The implication of permissive parenting styles on online game addiction is the role of parents so that teenagers do not play games excessively.
