Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of self-control on sexual behavior in adolescents in Malang City. This study uses a quantitative approach. Participants in this research were teenagers from Malang City. The sample in this study amounted to 385 people. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data collection used a self-control scale and a sexual behavior scale in the form of a Likert scale. Data analysis uses simple linear regression to determine the effect of self-control on sexual behavior. The results obtained show that there is an influence of self-control on sexual behavior in teenagers in Malang City with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05) with an influence of 33% (R square 0.339). The coefficient of influence of the two variables is -0.603. This means that the higher the self-control, the lower the sexual behavior. Conversely, the lower the self-control, the higher the sexual behavior.
