Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between father involvement in parenting and self-confidence in adolescents. Adolescence is a critical phase in identity formation, during which self-confidence plays a crucial role in psychological development. The study employed a quantitative correlational approach involving 403 adolescents aged 15–19 years. Data were collected using two validated scales,اwithاreliabilityاcoefficientsاofاαا=ا0.806اforاtheاfatherاinvolvementاscaleاandا αا=ا0.863اforاtheاself-confidence scale. Simple linear regression analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between father involvement and adolescent selfconfidence (p < 0.000), with a contribution of 55.8% (R² = 0.558). These findings indicate that higher levels of father involvement in parenting are associated with higher levels of adolescent self-confidence. The results highlight the vital role of fathers in supporting children's psychological development and serve as a foundation for promoting healthy parenting practices within families.
