Abstract
Baby blues syndrome is a form of emotional disturbance that can cause the risk of depression postpartum. Giving birth to a child makes the mother gain various new experiences. Husband's support has a crucial role for a mother. One factor that can influence tendencies baby blues syndrome in mothers is the lack of husband's support. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of husband's support on tendencies baby blues syndrome. This research uses a quantitative approach method. The population in this study were mothers giving birth, the sample in the study used techniques purposive sampling. Based on the criteria that have been determined, the number of respondents in the study was 96 respondents with the criteria being primiparous mothers with a maximum age of 6 months. The research instrument used was a Likert scale, hypothesis testing used a simple linear regression technique, hypothesis testing was carried out to determine whether or not there was an influence of husband's support on the tendency to baby blues syndrome. Tool which is used for collecting research data consisting of a modified scale used for husband's support referring to theoretical aspects by Sarafino (1994) and a tendency scale baby blues syndrome use EPDS adaptation scale (Edinburgh Postnatal Depression). Based on the results of data analysis, the sig value was obtained 0.00 or <0.05, f value 20,213 and R Square 0.16 which states that there is an influence and the magnitude of the effective contribution of the influence of husband's support is 16%.
