Abstract
Drugs consisting of narcotics, psychotropics and other addictive substances are basically drugs that react to affect the way the body works, especially the brain. NAPZA is often misused so that it can have an impact of dependence on its users. When a substance known as NAPZA (Narcotics, Psychotropics and Other Addictive Substances) enters the human body, the substance has the property of affecting the body's performance, especially the brain and central nervous system. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of social support on the motivation to recover from NAPZA residents at rehabilitation foundations. This research uses quantitative methods, with data analyzed using linear regression tests. Item data processing uses the Pearson product moment correlation formulation. Based on the trials used by the researchers, there were 45 respondents as subjects. This research instrument uses a modified scale based on the motivation aspect proposed by Knight et al., (1994) and the social support aspect according to Cutrona (2000). This research's social support items consist of 30 valid items, and recovery motivation consists of 21 valid items. The social support variable has a reliability coefficient of 0.972, while the social support variable has a reliability coefficient of 0.963. Analysis of this research data found that the significance of the research variables was 0.200 where p > 0.05, indicating that the distribution could be categorized as normal. The results of the research show that the influence of social support is 72.5% on the motivation to recover NAPZA residents at rehabilitation foundations.
