Abstract

This research is a quantitative correlational study which aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety. The high unemployment rate comes from college graduates. Several factors determine students' anxiety in facing the world of work, one of which is self confidence. The subjects of this study were 60 final semester students of the Department of Psychology, Malang University. Methods of data collection using a scale of self-confidence and anxiety scale. The results showed that there was a negative correlation between self-confidence and anxiety, with a correlation coefficient of 0.028 < 0,05. The relationship between these two variables shows that a high level of self-confidence means that a person's anxiety level will decrease.
