Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between hardiness and job anxiety among final-year university students. This study employs a quantitative research design with a causal approach, involving a total of 100 respondents. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling, combining accidental sampling and snowball sampling techniques. The measurement instruments utilized are the hardiness scale (α = 0.929) and the job anxiety scale (α = 0.982). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The results of the data analysis show a regression coefficient of p = 0.000 < 0.05 with an R² value of 0.707. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between hardiness and job anxiety among final-year students at Universitas Merdeka Malang. Hardiness accounts for 70.7% of the variance in job anxiety, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors. The implications of this research highlight the importance of reducing job anxiety among students, which can be supported by the students themselves, their peers, the surrounding environment, and their parents through the enhancement of hardiness. Students can develop hardiness through positive experiences, such as building selfconfidence.
