Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the dynamics of voting that affect the decision of swing voters in the context of the 2024 general election in Malang City. The methodology used by researchers in researching which is accompanied by causes tailored to certain researchers. This research uses a phenomenological approach of in-depth exploration activities regarding certain phenomena and real contexts, specifically when the boundaries between phenomena and contexts are unclear, it is necessary to take a case study approach in qualitative research so that researchers can maximize existing information. The data collection method in this research uses observation and interviews, where this research uses three respondents who can subjectively represent the diversity of swing voters in Malang City. Based on the findings of the research conducted by the researcher during the research process, each respondent expressed dynamics in a series of stages before reaching voting behavior. This research focuses on analyzing the dynamics of voting for swing voters in the context of the 2024 general election in Malang City.
