Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and learning motivation in class XI students of SMK Putikecwara, Batu City. This research method uses quantitative correlation, with the number of respondents being 74 students. Determination of sampling using the Slovin formula with a significance level of 10%. Data collection using the Self-Efficacy scale (25 items, α = 0.740) and the Learning Motivation scale (24 items α = 0.864). Data analysis used was simple linear regression analysis, producing a correlation coefficient of 0.416 with p = <0.000 (p <0.005). This shows that self-efficacy has a significant effect on learning motivation in SMK Putikecwara students, Batu City. Self-efficacy provides an effective contribution of 41.6% to learning motivation. This study provides information that self-efficacy can increase student learning motivation, so good self-efficacy is needed in order to increase student learning motivation.
