Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between egalitarian gender roles and the psychological well-being of married women. This research method uses quantitative correlation, with a total of 384 respondents. Sampling determination using accidental sampling technique. The measuring instruments used were the egalitarian gender role scale (α = 0.781) and the psychological wellbeing scale (α = 0.73). Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression. The results of data analysis showed a significance value of 0.01 <0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between egalitarian gender roles and psychological well-being in women. This study can provide information that egalitarian gender roles can predict high and low psychological well-being in married women, so it is necessary to have egalitarian gender roles in the family that can improve psychological well-being in married women.
