Abstract
In the increasingly competitive era of globalization, organizations are beginning to realize the importance of creating a positive and satisfying work atmosphere for their employees. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work stress and quality of work life in employees of PT Java Indosinergi Creative. The method used is a form of quantitative descriptive analysis combined with a correlational approach. In this study, the population consisted of all employees of PT Java Indosinergi. The sample in this study was 74 employees of PT Java Indosinergi Creative. The work stress measurement scale used the Hasbullah scale (2013) and the quality of work life scale used the Walton scale (1980). Data analysis in this study used a simple linear regression analysis technique. Before conducting the test, there was an assumption test, namely by first conducting a normality test and a linearity test. The results of the normality test found a significance value for the quality of work life variable of 0.200, while for the quality of work life variable it was 0.182, so that both variables were normally distributed. While the linearity test showed a significance of 0.00 which indicated a linear relationship between the work stress and quality of work life variables. Through simple linear regression analysis, it was found that the significance value was 0.000, less than 0.05, so the hypothesis was accepted. This means that there is a significant relationship between work stress and quality of work life. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.444 indicates that work stress contributes 44.4% to the variation in QWL, while the remaining 55.6% is explained by other factors not studied. The implication of this study is to provide PT Java Indosinergi Creative with evaluation materials to determine the level of work stress and quality of work life of employees, so that the company can manage work stress through strategies such as stress management training, work-life balance to improve quality of work life.
