Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience and academic stress levels among university students in Indonesia. The research method used was quantitative correlational, with the research population consisting of university students across Indonesia. The respondents in this study were 400 students from various universities in Indonesia. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Data collection instruments included a resilience scale and an academic stress scale. The data analysis technique applied was simple linear regression. The analysis results showed a regression coefficient (β) = -0.605, t(399) = -15.173, and (p = 0.000) < 0.05. The R² value of 0.366 indicates that resilience contributes 36.6% to academic stress levels. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between resilience and academic stress among students, meaning that the higher the level of resilience, the lower the level of academic stress. This study implies that resilience plays an important role in helping students manage academic pressure and maintain mental well-being throughout their academic journey.
