Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interpersonal communication and sexual satisfaction on marital harmony. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of multiple linear regression. The population is women who are married and still have partners aged 18-40 years, totaling 62,900 wives in Pakis Village, Malang Regency. The sample in this study was 100 subjects. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. Data collection using the marital harmony scale consists of 35 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.903. The interpersonal communication scale consists of 34 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.923. The sexual satisfaction scale consists of 34 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.906. The results of the regression analysis showed the effect of interpersonal communication on family harmony with an effective contribution of 42.7%. However, there is no effect of sexual satisfaction on family harmony as indicated by the effective contribution of only 7.1%.
