Abstract
Humans are social creatures, in meeting human social needs, of course, energy and body movement are needed. But in reality, not all humans are born with a body that can move perfectly or even born with a body that can't move (paralyzed). Permanent motor impairment which is a congenital disease that permanently interferes with the development of movement and posture, causing limitations in a person's activities, which is called cerebral palsy. According to research by Calista et al (2020), it is stated that a child with the initials AN who suffers from cerebral palsy always feels isolated and discriminated against by his peers. In addition, based on the results of the field survey, researchers found that disabled people due to cerebral palsy also received rejection, thus affecting the welfare of these persons so that it had a negative impact on their psychological condition. However, there are also disabled people due to cerebral palsy who get rejected, but are still able to achieve welfare. The purpose of this study is to see the life picture of disabled people with cerebral palsy in achieving subjective well-being. Cerebral palsy is a permanent motoric disorder, where that can interfere with the growth and development of sufferers. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to explore the experiences of disabled people due to cerebral palsy. This research was conducted on 3 participants of the male calamine type with a vulnerable age of early adulthood, that is: 24 years. The analysis technique used in this study is the data analysis of the Miles and Huberman model, namely: by collecting data then reducing the data and finally by presenting the data. Based on the research results obtained, the participants in this study had a fairly good self-knowledge about themselves and had a supportive family environment, so that the participants in this study were able to improve their quality of life and achieve positive well-being.
