Abstract
The focus of this problem is work engagement among baristas. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of psychological capital on work engagement among baristas in the city of Malang. This research uses quantitative research methods with a descriptive analysis design and simple linear regression analysis. The population in this study were all baristas in Malang City. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. Non-probability sampling is a sampling technique that accepts the same opportunities or opportunities for each population obtained to become a research sample. The data collection method uses a questionnaire and the data analysis technique uses a simple regression analysis test. The results of data processing showed that psychological capital showed a high category of 0.889 and work engagement of 0.884. And testing the hypothesis using regression analysis showed an influence of 57.9% on work engagement, the rest was influenced by other factors. Simple linear shows that psychological capital has a significant effect on work engagement with a significance value of 0.761, psychological capital has a significant effect on work engagement with a significance value of 0.000. The conclusion of this research is that there is a significant influence of psychological capital on work engagement for all baristas in the city of Malang. Psychological capital has a percentage effect of 57.9%.
