Abstract

Dual role conflict is a form of conflict where there is conflicting pressure at work and family, namely carrying out roles at work becomes more difficult because they also carryout roles in the family, on the other hand carrying out roles in the family becomes more difficult because they also carry out roles at work. The demands for woman who experience multiple roles and are accompanied to balance the two roles certainly require an ability to control their roles, while the ability to control these roles is to have good self regulation. The purpose of this study was to determine the “Relationship Between Self Regulation And Dual Role Conflict Of Female Lecturers in Malang”. The data collection technique uses self regulation scale instrument anda dual role conflict. The sampling technique uses incidental sampling. The number of subjects in this study were 385 subjects. Scale validity test uses the Pearson Product Moment and reliability was measured using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient. The result of the hypothesis testing were carried out using Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis to obtain a significance score of 0,000, which means that the significance level has a value of <0,05. Then the hypothesis is accepted and it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between self regulation and dual role conflict of female in Malang.
