Abstract

Overseas students face more difficult challenges than non-overseas students, require effort and fulfill their obligations and responsibilities as students and are used to being away from their families in situations and circumstances such as those experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic. The concrete problems experienced by overseas students are the financial condition of their parents, living conditions, interaction with students from the local area, adjustment, and readiness to seek help when facing difficulties. The ability to adapt to each person is different, depending on various factors, one of which is psychological factors that require good self-resilience. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there is an effect of resilience on self-adjustment in overseas students (outside Java). The study population consisted of 2508 overseas students, using a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 279 overseas students. The research instrument uses a resilience scale and a scale of self-adjustment with a Likert scale model. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, a significant value of 0.000
