Abstract

Bullying is aggressive behavior carried out by a stronger individual or group against a weaker group, which aims to hurt and is done repeatedly. These conditions make each individuals who have high emotional intelligence, the lower the bullying behavior they do, and vice versa. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect between emotional intelligence and bullying behavior in adolescents in Lewoloba village. The sampling technique used is accidental sampling technique. The validity test of the scale uses the Pearson product moment and the reliability is measured using Cronbach’s alpha. The sample of this study was 100 adolescents in Lewoloba village consisting of boys and girls aged 12- 18 years, educational levels starting from elementary school to high school. The results of hypothesis testing using simple linear regression analysis obtained a significance score of 0,.000, meaning the significance level had a value of <0.05. Then the hypothesis states that there is an 45,1% influence between emotional intelligence and adolescent bullying behavior in Lewoloba
village accepted.
