Abstract

Job stress is the biggest health problem affecting workers. One of the factors thatcan affect job stress is social support. For workers in the stressful health sector,social support is important. The purpose of this study was to determine therelationship between the level of social support and the level of work stress inhealth workers at Ruteng Hospital. This study used two measurement scales,namely the BSSS scale and The Job Stress Scale. The sample determination usedwas purposive sampling. The results showed that social support has a positiveeffect, meaning that high social support is followed by high job stress. R2 shows avalue of 0.029, meaning that social support has an influence on work stress but issmall, only 2.9%. This is due to the hospital building facilities, gender, respondentsare in early adulthood, and the working period or length of time working is still small.This shows that there is a need for stress management in the workplace, inaccordance with the factors that cause stress
