Abstract

Studying in two study programmes simultaneously poses various challenges fordouble degree students at Universitas Merdeka Malang. One example is the highload of academic assignments and mastery of the material received. If studentsare unable to overcome this problem properly, it will trigger academic burnout. Thisstudy aims to determine the effect of social support on academic burnout in doubledegree students at Merdeka University Malang. The research method used in thisresearch is quantitative method. The sampling technique is accidental sampling ofas many as 93 students. The data collection method uses a Likert scale, namelythe social support scale adapted from Hariyono and the academic burnout scaleadapted from Fadilah. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis withSPSS for windows v.27 statistics software. The results of hypothesis testingthrough simple linear regression analysis show a significance value of 0,000 < 0,5,which means that there is a significant effect of social support on academic burnoutin double degree students at Merdeka University Malang with an effectivecontribution of 17% and the remaining 83% is influenced by other factors
