Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between the meaning oflife and self-acceptance in the elderly in Malang City. This research method isquantitative with a correlational design. The population of this study was elderlypeople in Malang City. Sample determination was carried out with an accidentalsampling approach. Data collection using the Meaning in Life Questionnaire scaleand self-acceptance scale. The data analysis technique used is Pearson product-moment correlation. The results of data analysis show a correlation coefficientvalue of 0.394, and a significance value (0.001) <0.05. This study concludes thatthere is a significant relationship between meaningfulness of life and self-acceptance in the elderly in Malang City with a positive relationship, meaning thatthe higher the meaningfulness of life of the elderly, the higher their self-acceptance
