Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic has affected many areas in a wide geographical scope. New normal era brings an impact to the employees. In this case, they must have an optimism. Having an optimism is not easy. It needs support from themself and others. This study aims to determine the effect of social supports from the head of the company towards the employees’ working optimism in PT Propan Raya ICC during pandemic covid-19. This study uses Optimism and Social Support variables. Subjects in this study amounted to 48 employees of PT Propan Raya ICC. The sampling technique in this study is saturated sampling. This study uses a quantitative approach. The analytical methods in this study is simple regression analysis.The result of this research shows that there is significant influence between social support of friend to optimism with probability of 0,000 (p<0,05) so that hypothesis accepted with big influence that is 65% (R square = 0,652).
