Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a interpersonal communication and the adjustment of overseas students. Thia study uses a quantitative research method with a correlation method, using two variables,
namely interpersonal communication with self-adjustment. The sample in this study was 273 overseas students ouside Java. Using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis uses statistic, which describe the variables of interpersonal communication and self-adjustment. Based on the research results, it is know that there is a significant positive relationship between interpersonal communication and self-adjustment in overseas students, as indicated by the Pearson Correlation (rxy) value of 0,902 with a sign value of 0,000 (p <0.05). based on this, the hypothesis put forward by the researcher that there is a positive relationship between interpersonal communication and self-adjustment of overseas students is accepted.
