Abstract

An anime fan is someone who uses his time and income to support his hobby as a connoisseur of anime shows. If the time spent watching this anime is excessive, it will have a negative and positive impact on the fans. One of the impacts is that anime fans will isolate themselves from the real world and choose to enjoy the world of anime, ultimately they are unable to go through the stages of communicating directly. This study aims to determine the effect of self-disclosure
on interpersonal communication in adolescent anime fans. The research method uses quantitative research methods with unlimited population types and a selected sample of 100 people. The sampling technique in this research is a non-random sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The results of the calculation analysis in this study show a score of 0.002 < 0.05, so the hypothesis obtained is that there is an influence between self-disclosure on interpersonal communication among teenage anime fans of 9%. With a coefficient value of 0.299, it shows that there is a positive influence between the self-disclosure variable and interpersonal communication.
