Abstract

Burnout is a syndrome caused by proIonged and intense stress that resuIts in emotionaI, physicaI and mentaI exhaustion, as weII as Iow seIf-esteem. One of the factors that infIuences burnout is psychoIogicaI weII-being. The aim of this research is to determine the reIationship between psychoIogicaI weII-being and burnout among MaIang empIoyees. This research is a correIationaI quantitative
research. The subjects in this research were 50 empIoyees. The sampIing technique used was saturated sampIing. There are two measuring instruments used in this research, nameIy the psychoIogicaI weII-being scaIe with a reIiabiIity of 0.865 and a burnout scaIe with a reIiabiIity of 0.774. The resuIts of hypothesis testing using the Pearson Product Moment correIation data anaIysis method show a significance vaIue of 0.011 (sig < 0.05), which means there is a significant
reIationship between psychoIogicaI weII-being and empIoyee burnout. The negative correIation coefficient vaIue, nameIy r = -0.358, indicates that there is a negative reIationship between psychoIogicaI weII-being and burnout. The impIications of this research are for companies to improve the psychoIogicaI weIIbeing of empIoyees
by creating conducive working conditions or environments.
