Abstract

The process of memorizing the Al-Quran has many obstacles, obstacles, and sufferings. This study aims to find out how meaningful the life of a memorizer of Al-Quran is and the stages to achieve meaning in life. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach at the Al-Falah Gadang
Mosque. The research respondents consisted of 2 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Phenomenological qualitative research has 4 stages, namely epoche, phenomenological reduction, imaginative variation and synthesis of meaning. Analysis and interpretation of data using bracketing, horizonanalizing, meaning units. The validity in this study uses intersubjective validity. The result of this research is that the meaning of life can be realized by making oneself a useful person with their environment from the implementation of the knowledge of the Al-Quran as a form of devotion to Allah SWT. The process that the memorizers go through are the stage of suffering, the stage of selfacceptance,
the stage of finding meaning, the stage of meaning realization
and the stage of meaningful life. This process is supported
by the potential dimension, namely the personal dimension, the value dimension, the social dimension and the spiritual dimension.
