Abstract

Students will face various challenges when completing their thesis, such as difficulties in finding a topic, samples, obtaining references, and repeated revisions. These challenges often create psychological pressure on students, thus requiring
resilience within them. One of the factors that can enhance resilience is peer social support. This research aims to determine the influence of peer social support on the academic resilience of students who are working on their thesis in Malang City. The research method used is quantitative. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The criteria in this study are students who have been working on their thesis for more than 1 semester. The sample in this study consists of 100 respondents. Data collection is done using the Academic Resilience Scale (48 items, α = 0.916) and the Peer Social Support Scale (49 items, α = 0.956). The data analysis used is simple regression analysis, resulting in a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.484 with p=0.000 (p<0.005). This indicates that peer social support significantly influences the academic resilience of students working on their thesis in Malang City. Peer social support contributes effectively by 48.4% to academic resilience.
