Abstract
In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, workers must have the skills to keep up with technological developments, especially vocational students who will soon complete their studies and enter the world of work in order to meet company competency standards. Career maturity plays a significant role in a comprehensive introduction to careers. Career maturity is a situation of individual readiness to make the right career decisions according to their interests and potential. This
study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on the career maturity of vocational students in Malang City. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling and the research sample amounted to 395 students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire prepared based on a career maturity scale and a self-efficacy scale. From the results of testing the reliability of the self-efficacy scale can be said to be reliable with a coefficient value of 0.774 and career maturity scale can be said to be very reliable with a coefficient value of 0.870. Hypothesis testing using linear regression analysis method which shows a significance level of 0.001 <0.05. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, it is known that there is an influence of self-efficacy on career maturity in vocational
students in Malang City. It can be seen that the level of self-efficacy has a high category of 37%. In career maturity, it has a high category of 48%. The results of this study also show that self-efficacy provides an effective contribution of 82.2%
to career maturity.
