Abstract

At a percentage of 10.85%, East Java ranks third in Indonesia for the number of early marriages. According to data from the Malang Regency Religious Court, there were 7,179 divorce requests in 2021. Comparing these submissions to 2020,
they typically grow. The goal of this study is to ascertain how early marriage affects people's ability to communicate with others. The strategy is quantitative and uses straightforward data analysis methods for linear regression. Purposive sample with 73 respondents was the sampling method utilized. The Likert scale is used in the psychological scale data collecting procedure. Using the SPSS V.25 application for data analysis. The results of the hypothesis test produced a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.187 and a significance value of 0.000 0.05, indicating that self-concept variables have an 18.7% influence on interpersonal communication variables.
