Abstract

Early adulthood is a critical period in identity development, as individuals undergo a transition from adolescence to young adulthood, in addition to which individuals begin to explore what their goals and future are in early adulthood experiencing a huge identity crisis that occurs in people in their 20s. The sample in this study is students in the city of Malang totaling 100 respondents. The data collection measurement tool in this study uses the Quarter life crisis scale and the Self control. The results of this study show a negative relationship between selfcontrol and quarter life crisis, this is proven from the regression test there is a significant negative relationship with the Y variable, namely quarter life crisis, β - 0.559, p 0.05. The Self control variable was able to explain the change in the bound variable of 31.2%, R² 0.312. The results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between self control and quarter life crisis in students
