Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, Indonesia experienced the Covid-19 virus disaster Significantly, various sectors were affected, including public services and had a negative impact on the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Batu City, namely a decrease in work performance. Study this study aims to determine the effect of self-concept on the level of work performance. Research method used Theis quantitative (explanatory research). The sampling technique is non- probability sampling (saturated sampling) of 99 employees. The psychological scale data collection method refers to the Likert scale. The self-concept scale items (47 valid) and work performance (29 valid) with a reliability coefficient of 0.933 self- concept and 0.921 work performance. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis through SPSS V.25 program. The results of hypothesis testing through simple linear regression analysis of self-concept with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a t-count value of 8.203 > t-table 4.062. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that there is a significant effect between self-concept on work performance.
