Abstract
The socio-emotional development of children in the early stages of life, namely the age of four to six years, is a very important period for building a child's personality. Because at that age, the child's behavior will be the foundation for him to behave in the future. One of the factors that play a major role in the socio-emotional development of children is the secure attachment of parents. At Al Arif Islamic Kindergarten, there are some children who like to fight, lack confidence, so they need to be accompanied by their parents when studying in class. This study aims to determine the effect of parental secure attachment on the socio-emotional development of children in kindergarten. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 60 children who attend Kindergarten Mulyorejo Malang. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. The analytical method used is simple regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant influence between parents' secure attachment to the child's socioemotional development with a probability of 0.000 (p<0.05), so the hypothesis stating parental secure attachment and socioemotional development was accepted. Parents' secure attachment has an effect of 7.0% on children's socio-emotional development.
