Abstract

As a unity student, Papuan students will face various cultural differences that e ist on the island of Java so that the process of self-adjustment carried out by Papuan students is needed. This study aims to determine self-adjustment in Papuan students in Malang city. In facing changing conditions, this situation makes Papuan students must have good self-regulation as well so that students are able to adjust well. This study uses quantitative methods with purposive sampling techniques with the criteria of Papuan students studying in Malang city and aged 18-25 years. The population of this study was 223 Papuan students who joined IPMAPA and used the Slovin calculation to obtain a sample. The sample in this study was 70 Papuan students. The measuring instruments used in this study were the selfadjustment scale and the self-regulation scale analyzed with the help of SPSS v 25 for windows. The data analysis used in this study is pearson product moment coelation. Hypothesis test results (r = 0.743; p = 0.000. This shows that there is a positive relationship between self-regulation and self-adjustment in Papuan students in Malang. The better the self-regulation, the better the self-adjustment
