Abstract
Self-disclosure is a form of individuals communicating to present facts related to themselves that are usually kept secret or not shared with other individuals. The term self-disclosure is related to the conscious exposure of information by individuals. Individuals consciously provide information that they think other individuals do not matter if they know it. Trust is an important aspect that is contained in a relationship and is always ongoing so that it will change with variety, which is manifested by a series of trusting and trustworthy actions. Trusting is the individual's willingness to be willing to take risks for good or bad endings, on the other hand trustworthy is a personality that associates recognition of the beliefs of other individuals. Trust itself requires other individuals to provide assistance, acknowledge themselves, and provide feedback. This study aims to determine the effect of trust on the self-disclosure of late teens using dating apps. The research method used is quantitative. The sampling technique is purposive sampling by 100 respondents of dating apps users in Malang City. The data collection method uses two psychological scales, namely, the trust scale (13 valid) and self disclosure (28 valid). The data analyst used simple linear regression analysis. The results of the hypothesis test between trust and self- disclosure are obtained at 6.722, which can be concluded that there is a positive influence between the trust variable on the self-disclosure variable with a contribution of 42.7% to the trust variable.
