Abstract

Resilience is the ability to learn through perceived unpleasant events as well as the ability to adapt adaptively to circumstances derived from unpleasant experiences. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of fatherless on the resilience of middle adolescent boys. The research method used was quantitative with accidental sampling data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed to 100 middle adolescent boys aged 15-18 years The measuring tools used are the Father Involvement Scale with a reliability score of 0.965 and the Resilience Scale with a reliability score of 0.777. The results of the study based on a simple linear regression test showed that fatherless had an influence on resilience with Sig. 0.000 and gave an effective contribution of 45.4%
