Abstract

Harmony in a marriage is the desire and goal of every married couple. According to Gunarsa, a family is called harmonious when there is less dispute, disappointment, and satisfaction with the family situation, the existence of each member consisting of mental,physical, emotional and social aspects so that all family members feel happy. With maturity..emotions owned by husband and wife, it will produce happiness and will have a positive impact to resolve conflicts and reactions to one of the forms of emotion that is experienced. The purpose of this study was to answer the question of whether or not there is a relationship between emotional maturity and marital harmony among married couples at a young age. The research subjects were 40 young couples at the age of 1-5 years of marriage, consisting of 20 husbands and 20 wives. The results of statistical calculations can be seen between the independent variable, namely emotional maturity, and the dependent variable, namely marital harmony which has a relationship value of 0.812 with a significance value of 0.024 or <0.05. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between emotional maturity and marital harmony who is married at a young age in Blitar Regency
