Abstract

The influence of self-control on alcohol consumption behavior among Atambua overseas students in Malang City.This research is a quantitative study that aims to describe the effect of self-control on the behavior of consuming alcoholic beverages on Atambuaantau students in Malang City. The research subjects amounted to 94 people of male gender obtained through saturated sampling technique. The data collection tool uses a self-control scale consisting of 35 items with a reliability value of 0.833 and an alcohol consumption behavior scale consisting of 15 items with a reliability value of 0.816. Data were processed using simple linear regression analysis statistical techniques. The results of the study with an R square value of 0.213 with p = 0.000 (p <0.1) indicate that there is a significant influence between self-control and alcohol consumption behavior on Atambuaantau students in Malang City
