Abstract

Workload is a comparison between the ability of workers and the work assigned so that the mismatch of skills and potential of employees can be one of the driving factors for burnout. This research aims to determine the effect of workload on burnout tendencies among bank employees in Jakarta. This research uses quantitative methods. The population of this study were all bank employees in the city of Jakarta using the quota sampling technique, so the number of samples was determined as many as 100 samples. The measuring instrument used is a burnout scale in the form of a Likert scale and a workload scale using a semantic differential scale. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed a significant effect, namely the significance of
0.000 <0.05 with a positive result and an R Square of 0.259. So it can be concluded that workload is a variable that has a significant influence on burnout, namely 25.9%. This means that as workload increases, burnout will also increase.
