Abstract

This research was conducted because it can be seen from a survey conducted by researchers that the midwives in the Ponek Emergency Room experienced fatigue physiologically, psychologically, and behaviorally. The results of the preliminary survey found that midwives experienced physical fatigue, were
anxious when they had problems at work, and behaviorally midwives experienced a lack of appetite when experiencing problems at work. So that this research can later be used to overcome the emergence of work stress due to the high workload for health workers. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of workload on work stress in the Ponek emergency room midwives at Morowali Hospital. The research method used is quantitative. The sampling technique was in the form of non-probability sampling of 35 respondents. The psychological scale data collection method refers to the Likert scale. Data analysis used simple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS V.19 program. The results of hypothesis testing through simple linear regression with a significant value of 0.010 <0.05, where it can be concluded that there is an influence between workload and work stress.
