Abstract

In an effort to provide the best education at the kindergarten level, teachers have high work demands. This can certainly trigger teachers to experience work stress if it cannot be resolved. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of coworker social support on job stress in kindergarten teachers. In this study there were 100 kindergarten teachers who became research subjects. Data collection used two scales, namely the coworker social support scale modified from Hariyanto (2019) and developed based on the theory of Sanderson (2013) with 51 items and a reliability value of 0.953. The work stress scale was adapted from Utama (2022) based on the theory of Robbins and Judge (2015) with a total of 20 items with a reliability value of 0.912. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a significant effect of coworker social support on job stress in kindergarten teachers. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant effect of coworker social support on work stress in kindergarten teachers. the magnitude of the influence of coworker social support has an effect of 37.3% on the work stress of kindergarten teachers and the remaining 62.7% is influenced by other factors
