Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of body image on self-acceptance in early adult women who use Instagram. Research was conducted on 100 early adult female Instagram users using the collection method via Google Form. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method. Research data was collected using a body image scale and a self-acceptance scale which were compiled based on Cash's body image aspects (in Nur Lailatul Husna 2013) and Hall and Lindzey's (2010) self-acceptance aspects. This research uses a Simple Linear Regression test to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of the hypothesis analysis show that there is an influence of body image on self-acceptance in early adult women who use Instagram, with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This means that the higher an early adult woman's dissatisfaction with her body image, the lower her selfacceptance. The contribution of body image to self-acceptance is 81.7%. Thus, the hypothesis in this study is accepted
