Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there are differences in resilience among student who are working on their thesis in terms of gender. In this research, resilience characteristics were used to collect questionnaire data using a
quantitative approach. The resilience scale and Likert scale were used to express the data, 100 student from campus X in Malang city were used asa samples for this research. The purpose of using purposive sampling techniques is to meet the needs of student who are working on their thesis. According to research findings, the reliability test result of the resilience variable is 0,887 and the validity test result is 0,343 with a significance of 0,419 (two-tailed). It is known from this research that there is no difference in student gender and the resilience category can be described as moderate namely 74%. Based on the results, the hypothesis using the t-test obtained a calculated F value of sig. Less than 0,0002<0,05 with a mean value for students who are working on their thesis of -0,06200 for each female and male student. The results of this study show that there are no striking differences between male and famale students, so the hypothesis in this study is rejected.
