Abstract

Students experience various problems, one of which is fear of studentsexperiencing various problems, one of which is fear of negative evaluation. Ingeneral, people who experience a high fear of negative evaluation, tend to haveconcerns with negative assessments from others and vice versa. Selfcompassionhasthepotentialfor,positiveself-appreciation,increasedemotionalregulationskills, a sense of connectedness with others, and problem solving.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect between self-compassionand fear of negative evaluation on students in Malang. The hypothesis of thisstudy is self-compassion based on fear of negative evaluaton. Quantitative isthis research method with purposive sampling techniques and data collection inthe form of Likert scales. The research subjects were active students in Malangand aged 18-25 years (n = 348). The results showed that self-compassion had asignificant effect on fear of negative evaluation
